Hydrographic Survey Launch

31st March 2009 – MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn Bhd (MSETsc) was successfully completed and handing over Hidrografi 2 a Hydrographic Survey Launch to Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) yesterday.

Hidrografi 2 was the second Hydrographic Survey Launch built for RMN by MSETsc after Hidrografi 1 Launch in 2005.

Hidrografi 2 was successfully sailed to Pusat Hidrografi Negara (PHN) in Pulau Indah, Selangor from MSETsc (Kuala Terengganu) early yesterday morning.   The 16.9 metres length with 7 persons complement Launch was scheduled to arrive at PHN on 2nd April 2009.  The craft will based in Sandakan Sabah and be used for hydrographic survey and data collection.

VDP (Vendor Development Program) Exhibition 2009
MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn Bhd (MSETsc) and MSET Engineering Corporation Sdn Bhd (MSETec) has joined Vendor Development Program (VDP) Exhibition 2009 at the Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club (EVGCC) on 3 -4 March 2009.

This is a yearly event, which is compulsory task for all VDP appointed vendors organised by Vendor Development Section, Local Capability Development Department, Group Supply Chain Management Division, Petronas.
 
During this exhibition MSETsc and MSETic displayed theirs technologies and products ranging from platform life boats, gas pressure vessels, gas launcher and gas skid for oil& gas industries.
 
Visiting the events was the GSCMD senior staff and personnel, SKO and SBO, bankers and PSC companies. The mean of the exhibition was to promoting and exhibiting appointed vendor's capability and offered service for upstream and downstream in Malaysia Oil and Gas Industry besides breaking the ice between vendor - petronas - PSC (production sharing companies and expanding business market. 
 
41 Metres Vessel On The Dock

Borcos Taqwa a 41 metres utility vessel owned by Syarikat Borcos Shipping Sdn Bhd was successfully docked at MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn Bhd (MSETsc) Pulau Kambing at 9:00 pm yesterday.  

Borcos Taqwa was the fourth ship docked at the MSETsc's slipway I within this year after two (2) ferries from Ferry Sejahtera Services Sdn Bhd and one (1) Tug Boat from Inai Kiara Sdn Bhd.   The ship will undergo a annual survey specification which will allow the vessel to carry on offshore work.  

The annual docking will include inspection and repair for under water hull/body , hull and outfitting, tank and internal hull, anchor, engine rooms, piping and sea water valves, blasting and painting.  The ship was predicted to be back on the sea after two weeks.
