The International Islamic Fair 2007 (IIF2007) was launched on March 5, 2007 by the honorable Minister of International Trade & Industry Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz. The launch was witnessed by more than twenty foreign diplomats, representatives from business and commercial institutions as well as officials from various social organizations.

The Fair was held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur from July 27 to July 29, 2007.

Themed Islamic products and services for all, the three-day trade exhibition (which include conferences, forums and dinner concert amongst its various sideline programs) this year saw about 350 trade exhibitors and speakers from Australia, Britain, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, China, Brunei and India participating.

Marine Systems Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd (MSET) was one of the participants in this Fair. The Group was jointly represented by its two principal businesses namely MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn Bhd for its shipbuilding operation and MSET Engineering Corporation Sdn Bhd, representing its energy (oil and gas) division. The Group’s booth was amongst the most frequented during the exhibition probably due to the cleverly displayed replicas of ship and oil and gas process plant which were prominently placed at the front of the booth, enticing visitors to walk in and explore the rest of the items on exhibit.
