History
Established by Rural and Industrial Development Authority (RIDA) as a training Institute.
1966
Limbongan MARA was incorporated as a private limited company and changed name to Limbongan Timor Sdn. Bhd. (LTSB)
1992
Venture into the production of inflatable boats at company’s facility in Gong Badak Industrial Area.
1997
July 5, MARA Shipyard & Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd was renamed to MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn Bhd after privatization process completed.
2002
MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn. Bhd was awarded ISO 9001:2000 certificate by Det Norske Veritas.

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) took over and renamed as Limbongan MARA.
1971
May 16, LTSB was renamed MARA Shipyard & Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn. Bhd. to reflect its increasing involvement in engineering based activities.
1994
MARA Shipyard & Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn Bhd was privatized and Marine Systems Engineering (Terengganu) Sdn. Bhd became new owner.
2001
MSET Shipbuilding Corporation Sdn. Bhd has setup new facilities for 1300 Tonnage Ship at Pulau Duyong.
2003
MSET Inflatable Composit Corporation Sdn. Bhd was incorporate as private limited company which specialized in inflatable and composite boat production at Gong Badak Yard.
